Papa's Birthday!

Well Papa turned the double nickel. It was a great day! We had cream puffs and presents. At the dinner table.....Sophie just leans over to her papa and touches him, smiles at him, and giggles at him. Just to look at Papa's face.....ALL SMILES. That's him....he enjoys life!! I need to just relax a little....and let my girls be kids! Sometimes I expect too much from them. There's that fine line! Wow, you need wisdom!! I need to enjoy my girls...they only stay this little for a season.

Last Wednesday after I picked Abby up from Coop....the teacher said she cried for awhile and that she was glad they had 3 teachers bec one child got sick in the bathroom vomiting! After I heard that......I thought Abby was going to get sick. That's a real weakness for me! I know God is in control....so there's nothing I could've done!! HE has been working on me with this issue! Trusting in him and not to fear!! He gives me strength and courage everyday!! Without Him, I could do nothing!! I give my fear to the Lord!!

Crick in the Neck!~

I got a crick in my neck this week. It started on Monday......Wednesday was the worse and today......back again. I hope it goes away. I've tried motrin, heating pad, ice pack, and it's a no go.

Sophie has been teething. She is getting her caines. The bottom 2 has popped through. She has a fever of 100.4, runny nose, and irritable, and not to mention no appetite. I have been encouraged about her response to discipline. She loves to stand up in her wooden highchair. We tell her to sit down. She sits.....1 minute later she stands back up. Daddy spanks her(she graduated to the "Red Paddle" her sisters use). She stands up again after now 5 minutes. Round 2~ She got the picture. Don't tell me she is toooooo young to spank. At that age.....spanking is the only method I see that works. Taking away a toy? She can't relate that with standing up. At least my Sophie can't.

Abby has been.....well let's just say she has been throwing tantrums. I have tried to teach her about anger and what the bible teaches about sin. She seem to respond well. She just will be my middle child. She has been learning her alphabets. She now knows sounds for A-G.

Leah.....has taken off with her reading! She is a hungry reader! She is reading anything she can get a hold of. I tried to teach her addition in the 2's. She just doesn't get it.....yet! She loves her cursive! Everyone thought I am crazy teaching a 4 year old at the time cursive. Her penmenship is relatively neat for her age.

Fun in the Pool with Daddy!

Fun in the Pool!!

Daddy has been in the water with you both lately!! Doing divers, jumpers, and just having a good ol' time! Thank the Lord he gave you daddy that loves you dearly! He will always do his best to protect you, love you, and nurture you!! We love our daddy

Summer is over!

I can't believe summer is here and gone! Let's see.....this summer we went to Florida. The beach over there is so beautiful! I did not forget that humidity! We are going back this next summer.....NATHAN'S ENGAGED! So the girls are going to be in the wedding.

We started school on the 5th! Wow! Leah is growing up real fast. We are enrolled in a charter program.....and we are doing 10 subjects! We also joined VHS Coop.......Wednesdays! That is great! The girls love it. I cried when I dropped them off. Homeschooling is wonderful. The Lord knits our family closer and closer with the time I spend with them. I often felt guilty of not spending "quality" time with them. We are going through Abeka's flash a card series....."HEAVEN". Leah is sure asking questions.....she is not ready for salvation yet. But I am praying she will come to the Lord at a young age.

Well, Jesse is still studying his heart out. I admire his committment to the books. May the Lord find him faithful! I gotta admit....it's hard on me! I have to commit my duties to the LORD! It's through his strength I can run the race!!
